A man with long, curly hair and a beard smiling outdoors on a cloudy day. He is wearing a light-colored, knitted sweater. In the background, there are tall, dry grasses and leafless trees, with a wooden fence to the side.

I view the therapy room as a place to take a step back to get some perspective, then take a step back into your life with that new perspective. Whatever the reason is that you’re seeking therapy, I’m here to guide you through the process and work to find an approach that works best to improve your overall well-being. Through that process we will create a safe working space where we can set goals and pave the way to achieving them.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. In 20+ years of experience in the behavioral health field I have worked and led teams in various settings including residential and group home programs, therapeutic day school, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, IOP/PHP, community mental health, and private practice. In addition to my clinical work, I was an adjunct professor in a clinical mental health counseling graduate program for 8 years. I primarily practice Cognitive Therapy (CT), however I believe therapy should fit the client and not fit the client to the therapy. Whether it’s CT, CBT, Existentialism, DBT, Mindfulness, or another form of therapy, we'll work together to ensure the methods and approach work best for you!

Whether you view your cup as half-empty or half-full, our goal will be to fill your cup!

In my time away from work I enjoy golfing, playing baseball, cooking, and spending time with my wife, daughter, and our two pups.

In addition to my work as a therapist, I provide clinical supervision for provisionally licensed counselors, mental skills coaching for sports, and consulting services for treatment facilities and programs to improve clinical outcomes.
