Our Team
THERAPY, COACHING, CONSULTING, & SUPERVISION
Joe Tranchita, LCPC
I view the therapy room as a place to take a step back to get some perspective, then take a step back into your life with that new perspective. Whatever the reason is that you’re seeking therapy, I’m here to guide you through the process and work to find an approach that works best to improve your overall well-being. Through that process we will create a safe working space where we can set goals and pave the way to achieving them.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. In 20+ years of experience in the behavioral health field I have worked and led teams in various settings across the field including residential and group home programs, therapeutic day school, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, IOP/PHP, community mental health, and private practice. In addition to my clinical work, I was an adjunct professor in a clinical mental health counseling graduate program for 8 years. I primarily practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however I believe therapy should fit the client and not fit the client to the therapy. We'll work together to ensure the methods and approach work best for you!
Whether you view your cup as half-empty or half-full, our goal will be to fill your cup!
In my time away from work I enjoy golfing, playing baseball, cooking, and spending time with my wife, daughter, and our two pups.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I provide clinical supervision for provisionally licensed counselors, mental skills coaching for sports, and consulting services for treatment facilities and programs to improve clinical outcomes.
THERAPY, CONSULTING, SUPERVISION
Lauren Tranchita, LCPC
Utilizing a variety of approaches and styles, my passion is helping individuals and systems overcome life changes, stressors, and figuring out the “why”. I have experience supporting those of all ages with depression, anxiety, executive functioning issues, career development, and I spent 2 of my 10 years in the field leading facilities catered to those struggling with the disease of addiction. Discomfort comes from incongruence within yourself - between what is present and what you’d like to be. You are the expert on your life, and together we can make sure you are on the path to being the best version of you possible!
If you are interested in starting a journey of self-awareness and growth, please reach out! I offer an approach of Responsible Eclecticism, catering each intervention to your specific needs.
It is ok to not be ok sometimes - we can figure it out together. I look forward to assisting you or your family in your journey to balance and achieving your goals! People and situations are complex, and regardless of reason for coming into therapy, you will leave feeling better and more hopeful.
Outside of the therapy room I enjoy golf, volleyball, pickleball, reading, and spending time with my husband, our daughter, and two dogs.
In addition to providing therapy to others, I also provide supervision for provisionally licensed counselors and provide consultation services.

Monica Romo, MSW
Hi, my name is Monica, and I’m so excited to join the team as a therapist at Half Cup Counseling! I truly believe that we are all just humans doing our best to navigate life’s twists and turns, shaped by our unique stories and experiences. To me, the heart of therapy is building a real, authentic connection where you feel truly seen and heard. My goal is to walk alongside you as we explore the parts of your life that might feel a little scary or confusing—with kindness, curiosity, and zero judgment. Together, we’ll dive into your feelings, look at things from fresh perspectives, and find new tools to help you face life’s ups and downs with confidence.
I bring over 15 years of experience working in all kinds of settings—from residential programs for adolescent boys, to foster care case management, to therapeutic day schools supporting students with cognitive, behavioral, and autism-related challenges. For the past nine years, I have been a social worker and behavior specialist in public schools, where I’ve seen just how much some students need a stronger voice and better support. I am passionate about advocacy and helping people express themselves, since behavior is often just another way of communicating what’s going on inside. My mission is to uncover those underlying messages and support you in making lasting changes that boost your quality of life and self-worth.
About four years ago, I began my own personal journey of healing after developing some puzzling symptoms that led to a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune thyroid condition. It has been a rollercoaster—sometimes frustrating, defeating, and isolating—but it’s also made me even more empathetic toward anyone facing chronic health challenges. I want you to know you are not alone, and together we can find ways to cope and thrive despite life’s many unexpected surprises.
When I’m not working, you can find me traveling, singing karaoke, reading, gardening, dancing my heart out in musicals, or hanging with my husband, daughter, and our pets. Theater has been a huge part of my life—helping me build confidence, find my voice, and connect with a community where being “different” feels like a superpower. Voice lessons especially helped me discover the strength in my own voice, and I love passing that encouragement on to others.
Above all, I believe life—and therapy—should have plenty of joy and laughter sprinkled in. I can’t wait to share that with you!
